did you know that you can kill yourself with the flare gun normally if your flare hits a surface it immediately disintegrates causing no damage however if you approach certain walls at specific angles the flare actually blows up and hurts you do this enough times and you'll die but this doesn't work with all walls if you go into third person and type the following command in your console a bounding box will appear this trick will only work on walls that are aligned with this bounding box this is because of the way TF2 treats flares unlike Rockets or pipes players spawn in front of your player model on the right hand side so if you shoot it at a thick enough wall at the right angle the player tries to spawn inside of the wall but fails so it hits you instead now this isn't a useless fact if you practice enough you can make some small jumps that you otherwise wouldn't be able to but if Mobility is your focus you're better off using the Detonator
