it was very clear that she was just terrified of us when we first got Maven home she got in the kennel and stayed in the kennel for four to five days all we know really is that she came from an abusive home we definitely went into her adoption kind of knowing that she maybe had some trauma to work through she eventually would come out and very slowly eat but it took her a while to get all four paws inside of the crate that was a really big deal we couldn't be looking at her so we did that for a few days he was so afraid and she just had no confidence it took Maven about four to five days before she really was comfortable with us and coming out of her kennel we took it very slow but we definitely celebrated the tiny victories the thing we did that kind of changed everything is we were sitting outside waiting for her to come she like ran into Maddie's arms and just started loving on her it really was like a switch just flipped for her she was just like loved
