eminem almost made a song that would have ended his career in 2005 eminem was battling a serious drug addiction after the passing of his best friend proof one night he bought fake methadone pills on accident it says he almost died from an overdose that put him into a coma luckily he did make it out alive and decided to take a 5-year hiatus from making music to recover and get sober while his health did get better his notoriety in the rap game began to decline and artists like drake lil wayne and kanye west were beginning to take over this led eminem to almost making the decision that could have quite possibly ended his career on the project going insane i almost made a song it's like i was jealous of him because of the attention he was getting i felt horrible about myself anyone who was buzzing back then could have got it almost winning kanye too
